Every ferrule printer brand from one counter, with the PVC tube, heat shrink sleeve, marker tape and thermal ribbon for all of them — and the service bench that repairs them when they stop.
India's single source for ferrule printers
Every other ferrule printer supplier in India carries one brand. We carry all four — MAX Letatwin, Canon, Brother and Supvan — along with the PVC ferrule tube, heat shrink sleeve, marker tape, ID plate and thermal ribbon for every one of them, and we run the service bench that repairs them. That is the claim, and it is the only one on this page: not that nobody else sells a Canon, but that nobody else sells you all four from one counter and then fixes whichever one breaks.
It matters more than it sounds. A panel shop that standardises on one brand is at the mercy of that brand's lead times; a panel shop that owns three generations of machine from two manufacturers — which is most of them — is otherwise dealing with three suppliers and getting told by each that the fault belongs to one of the others.
- All four brands, all variants Current models and the discontinued ones still working on Indian panel floors — LM-390A, LM-380E, TP60i and the rest. We do not stop supporting a machine because the manufacturer stopped selling it.
- Every tube and every ribbon PVC ferrule tube from 1.5 mm to 8.0 mm, heat shrink sleeve, polyester marker tape, ID plate, and black, white and red thermal ribbon — with the manufacturer part numbers published below rather than hidden behind an enquiry form.
- A service centre, not a returns desk Printhead, cutter blade, platen roller and feed mechanism repaired in-house. A ferrule printer that is away for six weeks stops a panel line; ours come back in days.
- Job work if you would rather not buy one Send us the wire schedule and we will print and cut the ferrules for you. For a one-off panel that is cheaper than a machine, and you get them next week instead of learning a new printer.
MAX Letatwin ferrule printers — The reference machine for panel wiring in India
The Letatwin is the machine most Indian panel shops learned wire marking on, and the LM-550A is the current generation of it. Thermal transfer onto PVC ferrule tube, heat shrink sleeve, polyester marker tape and ID plate from one machine, with a half-cut that leaves the run joined so a wireman can carry a whole loom of markers to the panel in one strip and tear them off in order.
Letatwin LM-550A2BH/PC
LM-550A2BH/PC
The fastest and most tolerant Letatwin MAX has built. Takes the widest tube range of any model here — 1.5 mm right up to 8.0 mm PVC — holds a quarter of a million characters internally, and runs from four AA cells when there is no socket on site. This is the one to buy if the machine is going to live on a production bench.

Letatwin LM-550A3BH/PC
LM-550A3BH/PC
Mechanically the same machine as the LM-550A2BH with the European keyboard layout and character set. Worth knowing about because imported panels and imported documentation sometimes specify this part number, and the consumables are identical to the A2 — you do not need a separate ribbon stock for it.

Letatwin LM-550E
LM-550E
The volume model in the 550 family. Slower than the 550A at 27.5 mm/sec, and that is the whole difference for most buyers — it prints the same tube, the same shrink sleeve, the same MAX marker tape and the same ID plate, to the same 300 dpi. If the machine is marking a panel a day rather than a panel an hour, the speed is not what you are paying for.

Letatwin LM-390A/PC
LM-390A/PC
Superseded by the LM-550A, and still the single most common ferrule printer on Indian panel floors because they were sold in volume for years and they do not die. We keep printheads, cutters, rollers and ribbon for these. If you have one that has started skipping or cutting through, it is almost always the cutter blade or the platen roller and it is almost always worth repairing.

Letatwin LM-380E and LM-370E
LM-380E / LM-370E
Earlier Letatwin generations. No longer manufactured, but there are a great many of them still working in Indian switchgear shops. We service them and we hold tube and ribbon for them. Tell us the number on the badge and we will tell you honestly whether a repair is worth it or whether you are better off putting the money into a 550.

Canon ferrule printers — Cable ID printers — sales and service centre
Canon calls these cable ID printers rather than ferrule printers, and the Mk range is built around getting a long job out fast: the MK3000 and MK5000 will run tube, label tape, wrap-around tape, heat shrink and 4 mm ID strip, and the tube warmer accessory keeps feed consistent in a cold workshop, which is a real problem in a north Indian winter and the usual cause of a machine that misfeeds only in January.
Canon Mk1500
Mk1500
The cheapest way into Canon cable marking. 300 dpi like the rest of the range, but slower at 25 mm/sec and with a small memory — 7,500 characters across 25 files, which is fine for a contractor marking a panel at a time and restrictive for a manufacturer running repeat schedules. Full-cut only; no half-cut.

Canon Mk2600
Mk2600
The Mk1500 brought up to 40 mm/sec, with half-cut added and — the part that matters for anyone marking more than a few panels — a USB connection that reads CSV straight off a PC. Export the wire schedule out of your CAD package as CSV, load it, print the loom. That single feature is usually what justifies the step up from the Mk1500.

Canon MK3000
MK3000
The workhorse of the Canon range and the one most Indian panel builders end up on. Handles the full media set — PVC tube from 2.2 mm to 6.5 mm internal diameter, 6/9/12 mm label tape, wrap-around tape, heat shrink and 4 mm ID strip — and runs from AA cells if you need to take it to a site with no power. Uses the long 150 m RC-TU150B ribbon, so it is also the cheapest of the Canons per marker.

Canon MK5000
MK5000
The MK3000 with plate marking added. It takes the same ribbons, the same tube attachment and the same cutter set as the MK3000, and adds the plate and flat-tube attachment plus its own plate cleaner unit. Specify this one if you have to produce engraved-look ID plates as well as wire ferrules and you do not want two machines.

Brother ferrule printers — Ferrule and cable label printers — national partner
Brother comes at ferrule marking from the labelling side, and the twin-engine PT-E850TKW is the interesting machine in the range: it holds tube and TZe tape loaded at the same time and switches between them without you swapping a cassette. On a panel job where every wire needs a ferrule and every terminal block needs a label, that is the difference between one pass and two.
Brother PT-E850TKW
PT-E850TKW
The highest resolution machine on this page at 360 dpi, and the only one that keeps tube and label supplies loaded together. 60 mm/sec on label, 40 mm/sec on tube, auto full-cut and half-cut, QWERTY keyboard, USB and Wi-Fi, and — the specification worth reading twice — user-replaceable tube cleaner, cutter and rollers. Those are the three parts that wear out on every tube printer ever made, and on this one you change them yourself instead of booking a service call.

PT-E800T
The PT-E850TKW without the Wi-Fi radio. Same twin-engine tube and label mechanism, same supplies. Choose it when the machine sits on a bench next to a PC and nobody is ever going to print to it from a phone — you are not paying for a radio you will not switch on.

Brother PT-E550W
PT-E550W
The handheld that network and electrical contractors carry. Its real strength is HSe heat shrink: five sleeve sizes from 5.8 mm to 23.6 mm, printed smear-resistant, which is what you want on a cable that is going to be pulled through a duct. Wireless, so the label data comes off a phone or laptop rather than being typed on the keypad twice.

Brother PT-E310BT and PT-E560BT
PT-E310BT / PT-E560BT
The current generation of Brother cable-marking handhelds, driven from the Brother mobile app over Bluetooth. Suited to installers and network cablers rather than panel production — they print flag labels, wrap-arounds and heat shrink rather than PVC ferrule tube. Confirm the exact media list against Brother India before you commit, because this range is refreshed frequently.

Supvan ferrule printers — Tube printers — the value option, fully supported
Often written "Supowan" in Indian enquiries — same manufacturer. Supvan builds the machine that does 90 per cent of what a Letatwin does for a fraction of the money, and for a contractor who marks panels occasionally that is exactly the right trade. The honest caveat is service: a cheap tube printer with nobody to fix it is an expensive paperweight, which is precisely why we sell them with a bench behind them.
Supvan TP70E
TP70E
A full-size 300 dpi tube printer with an 85-key keyboard and both cut modes, at a price that surprises people who have only ever priced a Letatwin. Standalone — everything is typed at the machine. It will mark tube, heat shrink, label tape and ID plate, and it will do 35 markers a minute all day.
Supvan TP70E — sales, installation and in-house service from Mindware, New Delhi.

Supvan TP76E
TP76E
The TP70E with a PC connection, and for most buyers that makes it the one to get. It imports Excel directly for batch printing, which means the wire schedule your draughtsman already produced becomes the print job without anybody retyping four hundred wire numbers into a keypad — and without the transcription errors that come with doing so.

Supvan TP86E
TP86E
Same family, stepped up to 40 markers a minute on both tube and label. Worth the difference only if the machine is genuinely the bottleneck on your bench — if an operator is typing between runs, the printer is not what is slowing you down.
Supvan TP86E — sales, installation and in-house service from Mindware, New Delhi.

TP80E
Sits between the TP76E and the TP86E in the same series and takes the same PVC tube consumables as the TP70E and TP76E. Ask us for the current specification sheet before you specify it — Supvan revises this model more often than the rest of the range.

Supvan TP20M
TP20M
The pocket end of the range — a portable tube printer for an electrician who needs to mark a dozen wires at a customer site rather than five hundred on a bench. Small print runs, no keyboard to speak of, goes in a tool bag.

Which ferrule tube size do you need?
You know the conductor size from the wiring schedule; the machine wants a tube diameter. This is the conversion, and it applies whichever of the four brands you print on — a 0.75 mm² control wire takes the same sleeve whether a Letatwin or a Supvan prints it.
| Conductor size | Ferrule tube | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 mm² | 2.5 mm | Control wiring, signal and instrumentation |
| 0.75 mm² | 2.5 – 3.2 mm | General control panel wiring — the most common size in Indian panels |
| 1.0 mm² | 3.2 mm | Control circuits and small motor starters |
| 1.5 mm² | 3.6 mm | Lighting and general power circuits |
| 2.5 mm² | 4.2 mm | Power circuits and socket outlets |
| 4.0 mm² | 5.2 mm | Sub-circuit and small feeder cable |
| 6.0 mm² | 6.5 mm | Feeders and larger motor circuits |
| 10 mm² and above | 8.0 mm and heat shrink | Beyond 8 mm, heat shrink sleeve is usually the better answer than PVC tube |
Guidance, not a standard — insulation thickness varies between cable makers, so a wire that should take a 3.2 mm sleeve sometimes needs 3.6 mm. If your size is marginal, post us 200 mm of the actual cable and we will tell you which tube fits it instead of guessing from a table. It costs nothing and it is cheaper than a box of the wrong sleeve.
Ferrule printer service centre — all four brands, in-house
We repair Letatwin, Canon, Brother and Supvan ferrule printers on our own bench, including models the manufacturers have discontinued. Printhead replacement, cutter blades, platen and feed rollers, tube guides, mainboards and calibration. Machines bought from us are supported free of charge; machines bought anywhere else are repaired as chargeable work, quoted before we start.
Printing faint, patchy or wiping off
Usually the wrong ribbon for the media, a printhead that needs cleaning, or a printhead genuinely at end of life. We test all three before quoting, because two of them cost you nothing and only the third costs money — and a supplier who reaches for the printhead first is guessing with your budget.
Cutting through instead of half-cutting
A worn or misaligned cutter blade. This is the single most common ferrule printer repair there is, it is inexpensive, and it does not need a new machine — whatever you may have been told.
Tube slipping, jamming or feeding crooked
Platen roller, feed rollers or tube guide. On a Canon MK3000 in an unheated workshop it can also simply be cold tube, which the TM-TW01 tube warmer fixes permanently.
Characters misaligned or spaced wrongly
Calibration, or a media setting that does not match the tube actually loaded. Frequently fixed over the phone at no charge — call before you courier the machine anywhere.

Common questions
Which ferrule tube size do I need for my wire?
As a guide: 0.5 mm² takes 2.5 mm tube, 0.75 mm² takes 2.5–3.2 mm, 1.0 mm² takes 3.2 mm, 1.5 mm² takes 3.6 mm, 2.5 mm² takes 4.2 mm, 4.0 mm² takes 5.2 mm and 6.0 mm² takes 6.5 mm. Above 10 mm² heat shrink sleeve is usually better than PVC tube. Insulation thickness varies between cable makers, so if your size is marginal send us 200 mm of the actual cable and we will tell you which tube fits.
My ferrule printer cuts right through instead of half-cutting. What is wrong?
Almost always a worn or misaligned cutter blade. It is the most common ferrule printer repair there is, it is inexpensive, and it does not need a new machine. Send us a photograph of the cut and the model number off the badge.
Do you service discontinued ferrule printers?
Yes. We repair and stock consumables for models the manufacturers no longer sell, including the MAX Letatwin LM-390A, LM-380E and LM-370E and the Supvan TP60i and TP66i. We do not stop supporting a machine because the manufacturer stopped selling it.
Why does my print wipe off the heat shrink sleeve?
Usually PVC ribbon used on heat shrink. Heat shrink needs its own ribbon formulation — on a Letatwin that is the LM-IR50BP in black or the LM-IR50W in white, rather than the LM-IR50B used for PVC tube. It is the commonest cause of what gets reported to us as faulty tube.
