Staff who need a screen rather than a till: table-side ordering in restaurants, showroom floor staff pulling up stock, queue-busting at the door, stock checks in the aisle, and any job where the person moves and the counter does not.
It docks at the counter and lifts off when somebody needs it on the floor, so the same machine is the till at nine in the morning and a stock terminal at three in the afternoon.
