No brand warrants a head against wear, and neither do we — nobody honestly can. What you get here instead is the part fitted correctly, the printer set up around it, and someone in New Delhi to ring when it does not print right.
If a head is the wrong answer, we say so. Most faults we see are a platen, a sensor or a setting, and a head you did not need is money gone.
A head is a consumable, not a fault. It wears out on a schedule set by how much you print, what you print on and how hard the burn is set — like a tyre. Budget for it rather than being surprised by it.
And it should be fitted by us, or by a trained engineer.
Honestly said: a print head is a few microns of ceramic on a static-sensitive board. Over-tightened, mis-seated, touched with a bare hand, or fitted with the burn setting left where the worn head needed it, a new head can be finished inside its first hour — and there is no warranty anywhere to fall back on when it is. Bring the printer to Dwarka and we will fit it, set the darkness and the ribbon path, and test-print it. If you are too far and want to fit it yourself, ask us first and we will send the torque, the settings and the pictures for your model, free.
How to make a print head last
Clean it, every few hours of printing.
Dust and label adhesive on the burn line are what kill most heads, long before the ceramic wears out. A cleaning pen or isopropyl on a lint-free swab across the head, with the printer off and the head cool, takes twenty seconds and buys months.
Use a good label, not the cheapest one.
A poorly coated face stock is abrasive, and a label whose adhesive bleeds at the edges leaves gum on the head every pass. Mynds certified label stock is cut and coated for this, and it is the cheaper choice by the time you have counted a head.
Use a ribbon matched to the job.
The ribbon is what sits between the head and the label, so it decides how hard the head has to burn. Mynds brand ribbons run Mynds 20 wax, Mynds 30 resin, Mynds 40 premium resin, Mynds 50 washcare and Mynds 60 near-edge TTO — matched properly, they print at a lower darkness setting, and a lower darkness setting is a longer head life.
Do not print darker than you need to.
Turning the darkness up to fix a faint label is the commonest way people shorten a head. Nine times in ten the real answer is a cleaner head, the right ribbon or the right stock — bring us a sample and we will tell you which.

Bought from Mindware — support and service free of cost
Buy the printer here and we take responsibility for keeping it working. Installation, configuration, fault diagnosis and warranty repair are handled by our own engineers at no charge, backed by the principal — the manufacturer. You raise it with us; we deal with the manufacturer.
Bought elsewhere — paid service
We service printers bought from any other source too, as chargeable work through the TSC Printers Paid Service Centre, run by Mindware — diagnosis, repair, printhead replacement and calibration, quoted before we start. An annual maintenance contract usually costs less than call-outs if the machine sits on a production line.

What free support depends on.
Free service is provided with the backing of the principal. Where the manufacturer declines a claim — physical or liquid damage, repairs attempted elsewhere, or a printer outside its warranty period — we cannot carry that cost ourselves, and the work becomes chargeable. We will tell you before any work starts and quote it first, so nothing is a surprise.
Fitting this printhead
A thermal printhead is ceramic where it counts. One static discharge, one over-tightened screw, or a head seated a fraction out of square, and it either dies on the bench or wears unevenly and fails months early. If you want it done right the first time, have it fitted by us.
In India you can buy this head only from Mindware, New Delhi. We import every head ourselves, which is why the part is genuine and the price is the best you will find. Send us the printer model and serial number, or a photograph of the label inside the lid, and we will confirm the exact head before you order.
Need installation? Bring the printer to Mindware, Dwarka Sector-12, New Delhi and get it fitted by certified engineers — fitted, calibrated and tested on your own labels before it leaves the counter.

Most barcode printer faults are settings, not hardware, and settings can be fixed down a wire. We take over the machine with AnyDesk, or walk you through it on a video call, and in most cases the printer is printing again before the call ends. India or overseas — a printer in Dubai, Lagos or Colombo is the same job as one in Dwarka.
