Zebra, Honeywell and Newland — counter scanners, rugged handhelds, fixed-mount imagers and Android mobile computers, stocked and serviced in New Delhi. A scanner is the one thing in a barcode system that gets dropped daily, so we size it to where it will actually live rather than to the specification sheet, and we repair them here instead of sending them away.
If a large Indian warehouse already has scanners, they are usually Zebra, and that matters more than any single specification: one management tool, one set of cradles and one spares shelf across the whole estate. The DS range covers everything from a shop counter to a damaged label on a wet carton, and the mobile computers run the same Android build as the printers alongside them.
DS2208
The scanner we sell more of than any other, and for most shop counters and back offices it is simply the right answer. It reads every 1D and 2D code including QR, survives a drop from desk height many times over, and plugs in as a keyboard so it works with any billing software without a driver.

DS2278
The same imager and the same reading performance as the DS2208, without the cable. Worth the difference wherever the item cannot come to the counter — a shelf, a pallet, a bulky carton — which in practice is most stockrooms.

DS8108
The scanner to specify when the barcodes themselves are the problem. An 800 MHz processor and a megapixel sensor with Zebra's PRZM decoding read codes that stop an ordinary imager — faded, crinkled, dirty, poorly printed, or on a customer's phone screen. A healthcare build with infection-control housing is available, including a quiet mode for night wards.

Honeywell wins the arguments that are about durability rather than price. The Granit line is built for cold stores and loading bays — sealed against dust and water and rated for thousands of tumbles, not just a headline drop figure. The Mobility Edge platform underneath the mobile computers is the other reason large deployments choose it: one certification and one security cycle across every device in the fleet.
Granit 1990iSR
The scanner for the places that destroy scanners. The figure worth reading is not the drop rating but the tumble rating: seven thousand one-metre tumbles, which is what a scanner actually experiences on a loading bay over a few years. Sealed to IP67 and rated down to minus thirty, so it works in a cold store rather than fogging up and failing in one.

Xenon XP 1950g
Honeywell's general-purpose corded imager and the direct rival to the Zebra DS2208 — the one to compare on price when a customer is already standing up a Honeywell estate elsewhere in the building. Built for a long service life rather than a low sticker price, which is the whole argument for it.

The entry point into Honeywell 2D scanning, in the slim curved body the Voyager line has always used. Bought where a counter needs to read QR codes reliably and nothing more demanding than that.

The handheld terminal for a warehouse or distribution centre — a keypad device rather than a touchscreen-only one, which is what an operator in gloves actually needs. Built on Honeywell's Mobility Edge platform, so a fleet certifies and updates as one rather than device by device.

ScanPal EDA52
The device to give a delivery rider or a field sales team: it works like a phone, so training is close to nothing, but it has a real scan engine instead of a camera and a battery meant for a full shift. The usual alternative — a consumer phone with a scanning app — fails on both counts.

Newland is the brand we quote when the budget will not carry Zebra or Honeywell and a 1D-only scanner is not enough. The point of the range is that a 2D imager costs about what a 1D laser used to, so there is no longer a reason to buy a scanner that cannot read a QR code — which in India now matters at every counter that takes UPI. We stock the range and service it here rather than sending it abroad.
HR32 Marlin
Newland's cordless handheld, with a megapixel imager that handles the two cases cheap scanners fail on — long or truncated 1D codes, and dense 2D. The antimicrobial coating is the reason it turns up in clinics and pharmacies, and it is available corded as well if the cable is not a problem.

FM430 Barracuda
A fixed-mount imager for building into something else — a kiosk, a turnstile, a self-service counter, a production line. The infrared and light sensors together are what make it usable in a dim corridor: it wakes on approach and lights the code itself rather than waiting for the room to be bright.

MT90 Orca
Newland's rugged Android handheld, aimed squarely at warehouse, transport and last-mile delivery work where a fleet of Zebra or Honeywell terminals would not fit the budget. The right comparison is not against a premium terminal but against issuing drivers consumer phones, which is what most Indian operations currently do.

HR22 Dorada II
Discontinued by Newland in July 2025, and listed here because it is still asked for by name and still in service in a great many shops. It was a 2D scanner at a 1D price, which is exactly the job the HR32 Marlin now does. We still supply cables and stands for it, and will tell you honestly when replacing it beats repairing it.

If there is any chance of it — UPI, a customer's phone, an e-way bill, a GS1 2D code on a pack — buy a 2D imager. A 1D laser cannot be upgraded, and 2D now costs roughly what 1D used to. This is the single decision people most often get wrong.
A counter scanner needs to survive desk height; a warehouse scanner needs a tumble rating, not a drop rating. If it goes to a loading bay or a cold store, the Granit is cheaper over three years than replacing a general-duty scanner twice.
Corded is cheaper, never needs charging and cannot be walked off with. Buy cordless only where the item genuinely cannot come to the scanner — shelf edges, pallets, bulky cartons.
A scanner sends data to a PC. A mobile computer is the PC — it runs your application in the aisle, works away from a network and does stock counts without paper. If somebody is currently walking back to a terminal to type what they scanned, that walk is what a mobile computer removes.
Ask for the healthcare or antimicrobial build. Ordinary scanner housings degrade under repeated disinfectant wiping, which is how a scanner ends up cracked in six months in a ward.
A fleet is a different purchase from a single scanner. Mobility Edge on Honeywell and Zebra's device management both exist so that fifty devices update and certify as one — worth specifying from the start rather than discovering at the first Android version change.

Where the manufacturer declines a claim — physical or liquid damage, repairs attempted elsewhere, or a printer outside its warranty period — we cannot carry that cost ourselves, and the work becomes chargeable. We will tell you before any work starts and quote it first, so nothing is a surprise.

Most barcode printer faults are settings, not hardware, and settings can be fixed down a wire. We take over the machine with AnyDesk, or walk you through it on a video call, and in most cases the printer is printing again before the call ends. India or overseas — a printer in Dubai, Lagos or Colombo is the same job as one in Dwarka.
